Siding work in Seattle
Seattle has a lot of older homes with original wood lap and cedar shingle siding, and a lot of it has been through decades of rain. We replace and repair siding on houses across the city and its southern neighbors: Tukwila, SeaTac, Burien, and Des Moines. We also side new homes and townhome projects for builders working in the city.

Siding in a wet climate
Around here, siding fails from water far more than from sun or wind. Rain gets behind boards at window corners, at the bottom edge near the ground, and wherever flashing was skipped. Wood and older composite siding soak it up, swell, and rot, often before anyone notices from the outside.
That's why we care most about the layers you don't see: the weather barrier, the flashing around windows and doors, and keeping the bottom of the siding clear of soil and roofs. Fiber cement itself doesn't rot, which is why we use it.
